The Manning family’s legendary football tradition is alive and well, with yet another member of the dynasty stepping onto the gridiron. Marshall Manning, the son of Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning, has enrolled at Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tennessee, as part of the Class of 2030.
Head coach Erik Kimrey confirmed this week that the 15-year-old will back up starting quarterback Keegan Croucher, a four-star recruit who has already committed to Ole Miss in the 2027 class. According to the 247Sports composite, Croucher ranks as the No. 11 quarterback prospect in that class.
“We’re excited about him,” Kimrey said of the younger Manning.
Marshall is Peyton’s only son and has a twin sister named Mosley. Currently listed at 5-foot-9 and 150 pounds by 247Sports, many expect him to grow considerably given his family’s physical makeup. His father Peyton and uncle Eli — both two-time Super Bowl champions — stand 6-foot-5. His grandfather Archie, a former NFL quarterback, is 6-foot-3. His cousin Arch, who is 6-foot-4, is expected to start at quarterback for Texas during the 2026 season.
Baylor School is widely regarded as a football powerhouse that consistently sends players to major college programs. In addition to Croucher, the team’s roster includes running back David Gabriel Georges, also in the 2027 class. The 247Sports composite ranks Georges as the No. 2 running back and No. 10 overall prospect in the nation. He has yet to commit to a school but is drawing interest from multiple Power Four programs.
The Baylor School team currently sits at No. 12 in the 2026 MaxPreps Preseason Top 25 Rankings.
Marshall may not be the last Manning to play quarterback at a high level. While the children of uncle Cooper — including Arch — are grown, uncle Eli has three daughters and an 8-year-old son named Charlie, keeping the possibility of future Manning quarterbacks very much alive.
