Motorists traveling through New Castle County should be aware of upcoming lane restrictions on State Route 1, according to the Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT).
Beginning the night of Monday, July 20th, lanes will be closed along SR-1 in the stretch between SR-72, Wrangle Hill Road, and the Roth Bridge. The closures will be in effect during overnight hours, running from 7 p.m. through 9 a.m.
DelDOT says the specific construction schedule will differ depending on the day and whether work is being done in the northbound or southbound direction.
Crews will be on site to carry out concrete pavement patching, known as PCC patching, as well as a final layer of paving over the roadway.
Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time or consider alternate routes during the overnight construction window.
