Ex-wife says ICE agent who shot man in Maine had racist views, violent past

The ex-wife of the ICE officer accused of fatally shooting a Colombian man in Maine this week has come forward to identify him — and is sharing troubling details about his character.

Ashley Brouillette identified her former husband, David Brouillette, as the agent responsible for the fatal shooting of Joan Sebastián Durán Guerrero in Biddeford, Maine, on Monday. She said she found out he was the officer involved when he reached out to her directly by phone on Wednesday.

According to people who were close to David Brouillette, the officer had a history of violent behavior and held racist beliefs, raising serious questions about his conduct as a federal law enforcement agent.
