Beer, Bourbon & BBQ and More Coming to The Meadow Event Park This July

The Meadow Event Park in Caroline County is gearing up for a busy July, with a series of outdoor events ranging from equestrian competitions to one of Virginia’s biggest agricultural gatherings.

Horse enthusiasts will want to mark their calendars for the 2026 Virginia Gypsy Vanner Summer Fun Horse Show, running July 24 through 26. The event includes a “Battle of the Barns” team competition as well as English, Western, Halter, Trail, and Ranch classes. Additional details can be found on the J and S Equestrian Events Facebook page.

On July 25, the 17th Annual Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival rolls into the park with an “all you care to taste” setup featuring beer, bourbon, and plenty of barbecue. Guests can also enjoy live music, games, educational seminars, and more. Tickets and information are available on the festival’s official website.

Rounding out the month, the 2026 Virginia AG EXPO arrives on July 30, presented in partnership with Engel Family Farms. The expo is expected to feature around 100 exhibitors spotlighting agricultural technology, machinery, crops, and related products and services. Food vendors will be on hand for breakfast and lunch, and a children’s area hosted by the Children’s Museum of Richmond will keep younger visitors entertained. More details are available at the expo’s website.
