A company that makes organic baby food products is voluntarily pulling certain pouches off store shelves due to a potential safety concern.
PT Organics Limited, based in Lake Oswego, Oregon, announced on July 21st, 2026 that it is recalling select Pumpkin Tree Peter Rabbit Organics Banana & Strawberry 4 oz. (113 g) fruit puree pouches.
According to the company, an internal packaging defect has been identified that could allow a strand of soft, food-grade plastic to end up inside the finished product — raising concerns for parents of young children who may consume it.
Parents and caregivers who have purchased these pouches are urged to stop using the product immediately and check whether their supply is part of the affected batch. The recall was issued voluntarily by the company out of an abundance of caution.
