Delaware State Police have arrested a 14-year-old male and a 15-year-old male, both from Laurel, Delaware, following a shooting incident that occurred yesterday afternoon in Laurel.
On May 20, 2025, at approximately 12:20 p.m., Delaware State Police and Laurel Police Department responded to the 30000 block of Seaford Road in Laurel for a report of a shooting. When police arrived, they learned that two black males were walking on Seaford Road at the same time a vehicle was traveling northbound on Seaford Road near Discount Land Road. The preliminary investigation revealed that one of the suspects fired an unknown number of shots at the vehicle as it passed. The vehicle was not hit, and the driver and two passengers were not injured. Through investigative means, the suspects were identified as the 14-and 15-year-olds. Troopers and officers located the suspects during a search of the area and took them into custody without incident.
The suspects were taken to Troop 5 and charged with multiple felony offenses.
The 14-year-old was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3, and committed to Stevenson House Detention Center on a $125,000 cash bond.

Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred this morning near Angola that left one man dead.
On May 16, 2025, at approximately 5:52 a.m., a Nissan Sentra was traveling southbound on Hollymount Road north of John J. Williams Highway. At the same time, two commercial flatbed trailers were parked northbound, partially in the northbound shoulder and partially in the grass. There were orange reflective traffic cones positioned alongside the trailers. For reasons under investigation, the Sentra left the southbound lane of travel and entered the northbound shoulder, where it struck one of the trailers. The impact from the collision pushed the first trailer into the second trailer.
The driver, a 48-year-old man from Millsboro, Delaware, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is being withheld until his family is notified.
Hollymount Road was closed for approximately 3.5 hours while the scene was investigated and cleared.

The Delaware State Police have arrested a 17-year-oldmale from Dover, Delaware for DUI and other felony charges following a pursuit in a stolen car in Dover yesterday.
On May 15, 2025, at approximately 12:42 a.m., a trooper on patrol in Capitol Park saw a Lexus ES350 traveling eastbound on President Drive approaching Bay Road. A computer check of the registration showed the Lexus was stolen from Maryland. The trooper attempted to pull the car over, but it failed to stop. During the pursuit, the Lexus drove at a high rate of speed and in a reckless manner on several Dover area streets and roads, ultimately coming to a stop on Roosevelt Avenue near River Chase Drive. The driver, identified as a 17-year-old male, and an unknown passenger fled from the car. After searching the area troopers located the driver, who showed signs of impairment, and took him into custody without incident.
The suspect was taken to Troop 3, where after Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, he was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7, and release on his own recognizance to a parent or guardian.
Delaware State Police arrested 30-year-old Alejandro Rivera of Selbyville, Delaware, for multiple charges including felony assault and resisting arrest in Millville yesterday.
On May 14, 2025, at approximately 3:40 p.m., Delaware State Police and Ocean View Police Department responded to Wells Fargo, located at 38011 Town Center Drive in Millville, for a report of a disorderly male suspect. When troopers and officers arrived, they located the suspect, identified as Alejandro Rivera, in the parking lot, and attempted to take him into custody. Rivera physically resisted arrest, which caused minor injuries to a trooper and 2 Ocean View Police Department Officers. Rivera was ultimately taken into custody after pepper spray was utilized. In the ensuing investigation, troopers learned that Rivera was in the bank, and caused a disturbance by yelling, and punching walls. Initially, Rivera left the bank when asked by Wells Fargo employees, after which the employees locked the door to prevent reentry. A short time later, Rivera returned and forcibly entered the bank through the locked door which prompted the employees to hide in a secured room. Rivera attempted to enter the secured room but eventually fled to the parking lot.
Rivera was taken to an area hospital where he was treated and released. He was then taken to Troop 4, where he was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $15,00 cash bond.

Delaware State Police have arrested 25-year-old James Eaves of Dover, Delaware, for several felony firearm and theft-related offenses, as well as resisting arrest, following a pursuit of a stolen vehicle that culminated in an officer-involved shooting in Townsend last week. Eaves also had an outstanding warrant for a pursuit that occurred in New Castle County last month as well as a warrant from Pennsylvania for theft. Detectives also arrested 18-year-old Iman Houston of Wilmington, Delaware, a 19-year-old woman from Smyrna, Delaware, and a 22-year-old man from Wilmington, Delaware, for offenses related to the incident.
On May 9, 2025, at approximately 9:15 p.m., troopers responded to Dupont Highway in Camden for a report of a stolen white Infiniti QX6 traveling in the area. A trooper observed the Infiniti at Walmart, located at 263 Walmart Drive in Camden, and a computer check confirmed the vehicle had been reported stolen within the jurisdiction of New Castle County Police earlier this month. The trooper initiated a traffic stop, but the driver failed to stop. A pursuit ensued, during which the Infiniti traveled at a high rate of speed and in a reckless manner on Dupont Highway. Due to safety concerns for pedestrians and other motorists, the pursuit was terminated in Dover.
A short time later, a trooper saw the Infiniti traveling northbound on Dupont Highway near the Dover Mall and attempted to pull it over. The driver once again disregarded the police signal, and a second pursuit ensued. The Infiniti exited Dupont Highway and traveled northbound on Route 1 as it continued traveling at a high rate of speed and in a reckless manner. The Infiniti then exited Route 1 and entered the city limits of Smyrna, where it collided with another vehicle. Despite the collision, the driver did not stop and continued northbound until the vehicle became disabled north of Fieldsboro Road in Townsend.
The investigation revealed that the encounter unfolded rapidly after the suspects exited the vehicle. The driver, later identified as James Eaves, dropped a firearm onto the roadway as he exited, then picked it up moments later and briefly turned toward the approaching trooper with the weapon in his hand. In response, the trooper drew his department-issued handgun while moving toward Eaves. Eaves then quickly turned away and attempted to run toward a nearby tree line, still armed.
Despite verbal commands to stop and drop the weapon, Eaves did not comply. The trooper discharged his firearm striking him within seconds of this fast-moving, life-threatening armed encounter.
Troopers rendered first aid until emergency medical services arrived. Eaves was transported to an area hospital with critical injuries and is now in stable condition.
The remaining 3 suspects, later identified as Iman Houston, a 19-year-old woman, and a 22-year-old man, were located in a nearby wooded area and taken into custody without incident. They were taken to Troop 3, where Houston was charged with multiple crimes. The 19-year-old woman and the 22-year-old man were each charged with a misdemeanor offense of Resisting Arrest and released on $1,000 unsecured bond. In accordance with Delaware State Police policy, their names are not being released due to the misdemeanor nature of the charges.
Eaves was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and turned over to the custody of Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $138,407 cash bond.

Delaware State Police continue to investigate a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred earlier this month in Millville.
On May 3, 2025, at approximately 11:08 p.m., a Suzuki GSX-R600 was traveling southbound on Central Avenue south of Substation Road. For reasons still under investigation, as the motorcycle negotiated a curve, it exited the west edge of the roadway and collided with a mailbox. As a result of the collision, the driver was ejected.
The driver, a 35-year-old man from Ocean View, Delaware, was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. On May 12, 2025, he died as a result of his injuries from the crash. His name is being withheld until his family is notified.

Delaware State Police have arrested 63-year-old Edward Soja of Magnolia, Delaware, for a 5th offense felony DUI and related traffic offenses.
On May 10, 2025, at approximately 1:40 p.m., a trooper on patrol in the area of Peachtree Run and Walnut Shade Road saw a white male driving a maroon Chevrolet Impala while not wearing a seatbelt. The trooper pulled the car over and spoke to the driver, identified as Edward Soja, and detected an odor of alcoholic beverage coming from his breath. In the ensuing investigation, Soja refused to take Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and was taken into custody without incident. Soja was taken to Troop 3, where additional DUI tests were conducted. A computer check showed that Soja had four prior DUI-related convictions and a suspended/revoked driver’s license.
Soja was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $6,255 secured bond.

On May 10, 2025, at approximately 4:30 a.m., troopers responded to the 800 block of Clayton Avenue in Smyrna for a reported shooting. When troopers arrived, they learned that an unknown suspect fired an unknown number of shots that hit an occupied house. A 34-year-old woman inside was hit by gunfire and taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The incident remains under investigation.

While approaching the Infiniti, the trooper observed the black male driver drop a firearm in the roadway as he exited the Infiniti. The driver picked up the firearm and fled on foot towards a tree line with the firearm in his hand. During the foot chase with the suspect, the trooper gave verbal commands for the suspect to stop and drop the weapon, but the suspect did not comply. Subsequently, the trooper discharged his divisionally issued handgun, striking the suspect.
Troopers rendered first aid until emergency medical services arrived. The suspect, a 25-year-old man from Dover, Delaware, was transported to an area hospital with critical injuries.
The remaining 3 suspects were located in a nearby wooded area and taken into custody without incident. No one was hurt during the collision.

Delaware State Police have arrested 26-year-old Inessa Bagwell of Georgetown, Delaware, for reckless endangering after she drove toward a Correctional Officer last week.
On May 2, 2025, at approximately 8:47 a.m., troopers responded to Reynolds Pond Road in Ellendale for a report of reckless endangering. Upon arriving, troopers learned that a woman, operating a black Pontiac G6, drove toward a Correctional Officer while he was supervising a Department of Correction work crew from the Sussex Community Corrections Center (SCCC) on the 20000 block of Reynolds Pond Road. Troopers further learned the suspect had initially been told to leave the area by the Correctional Officer after she was observed talking to the offenders while they were working. The suspect left the area, but returned a short time later, argued with the Correctional Officer, and then drove toward the officer, nearly hitting him. The suspect then fled the area in the Pontiac. Through investigative means, troopers identified the suspect as Inessa Bagwell and obtained a warrant for her arrest.
On May 5, 2025, Bagwell was arrested and taken to Troop 7, where she was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3, and released on her own recognizance.

Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred in Frederica this morning that left one man dead.
On May 1, 2025, at approximately 5:38 a.m., a Ford F-150 was traveling eastbound stopped at the stop sign at Barratts Chapel Road and Old Beach Road. At the same time, a Harley Davidson XLH motorcycle was traveling southbound on Old Beach Road approaching Barratts Chapel Road. The preliminary investigation revealed the F-150 proceeded to enter the intersection to travel northbound on Old Beach Road. As a result, the F-150 entered the motorcycle’s path of travel, where the motorcycle hit the passenger’s side of the F-150, ejecting the driver.
The driver of the motorcycle, a 37-year-old man from Magnolia, Delaware, was taken to an area hospital where he died from his injuries. His name is being withheld until his family is notified.
The driver of the F-150, a 39-year-old man from Felton, Delaware, was not injured.
The roadway was closed for approximately 3 1/2 hours while the scene was investigated and cleared.

Delaware State Police have arrested 30-year-old Raheim Clifton of Dover, Delaware for felony theft and unlawful use of a credit card.
On April 19, 2025, troopers responded to Little Creek Volunteer Fire Company, located at 311 Main Street in Leipsic, for a report of a theft. When troopers arrived, they spoke with fire company officials who discovered over $3,600 in unauthorized charges on a fire company credit card. During the investigation, troopers learned that a member of the fire company, identified as Raheim Clifton, obtained the credit card and used it for personal expenses. A warrant was obtained for his arrest.
On April 27, 2025, Clifton turned himself in at Troop 3, where he was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7, and released on his own recognizance.

The Delaware State Police are investigating an assault that occurred in Georgetown this morning that left two men injured.
On April 21, 2025, at approximately 4:56 a.m., troopers responded to the 27000 block of Paradise Street in Georgetown for a report of an assault. When troopers arrived, they learned that an unknown male suspect was entering unsecured vehicles in the neighborhood when three residents confronted him. The suspect assaulted two of the residents with a broken bottle and they chased the suspect to a van that was parked nearby. The victims attempted to restrain him, but he was able to flee in the van. One of the victims, a 39-year-old man taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The second victim, a 34-year-old man suffered minor injuries.
The suspect is described as an unknown Hispanic male, approximately 5’10” tall, last seen wearing dark clothing, and white Nike sneakers. He was operating unknown white Chevrolet van that fled eastbound on Homestead Road. Surveillance images and video are not yet available.

The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit is conducting a death investigation in Dover after two people were found dead in a vehicle.
On April 20, 2025, at approximately 7:28 a.m., troopers responded to the intersection of Sharon Hill Road and Cahoon Branch Road in Dover for a death investigation. Upon arriving, troopers found a vehicle on the shoulder with 2 occupants that had apparent gunshot wounds. The occupants, a 33-year-old woman, and a 35-year-old man, both from Dover, were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities are being withheld until their families are notified. Due to the nature of the incident, the Delaware State Police Homicide Unit assumed the investigation. Detectives believe there is no threat to public safety at this time.

The Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in Dover last night that left one man injured.
On April 17, 2025, at approximately 6:14 p.m., troopers responded to the 1500 block of Nathaniel Mitchell Road in Dover for a report of a shooting. When troopers arrived, they learned that a 19-year-old man had been shot and was self-transported to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation revealed that an unknown black male suspect exited a maroon Kia Sportage, fired an unknown number of shots at the victim, got back in the vehicle and fled the scene. An occupied house and a vehicle on the property were also hit by gunfire.
At approximately 9:05 p.m., troopers saw a maroon Kia Sportage, that was reported stolen and matched the description of the vehicle involved in the shooting, traveling northbound on Walker Road near Bicentennial Boulevard in Dover. Troopers attempted to pull it over, but it sped away. During the pursuit, the Kia traveled on area roads and ultimately came to a stop on the 400 block of Sorrell Circle in Smyrna where five occupants fled. Troopers and allied agencies, along with DSP Aviation and K-9 searched the area and found four juveniles that fled from the vehicle. They were taken into custody without further incident. The fifth unknown suspect remains at large. The investigation is active and ongoing.

Delaware State Police have arrested 32-year-old Linzy Best of Dover, Delaware, for reckless endangering and DUI following a trespassing incident in Seaford.
On April 16, 2025, at approximately 5:05 p.m., troopers responded to the 24000 block of Chapel Branch Road in Seaford for a report of a car driving through a field. When troopers arrived, they learned that a black Chevrolet Camaro was driving recklessly in a field behind a residence. Three people, including two children, were walking in the field at the time and were nearly hit by the car. While the three victims were running to the safety of the residence, they were nearly hit again. The driver of the Camaro, later identified as Linzy Best, fled from the car after the adult victim took the keys from her and troopers found her a short time later in a nearby shed. When troopers contacted Best, she showed multiple signs of impairment, refused Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, and was ultimately taken into custody after resisting arrest.
Best was taken to Troop 5, where she was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $36,300 cash bond.

On April 16, 2025, at approximately 6:07 p.m., troopers responded to the 1000 block of Buffalo Road in Frederica for a report of a hit-and-run crash involving a silver minivan that struck a fence. While responding, a trooper saw a silver Mazda 5 with front end damage traveling northbound on South Dupont Highway near West Lebanon Road. The damage and description of the Mazda was consistent with the reported hit-and-run vehicle. The trooper pulled the Mazda over, and spoke to the driver, identified as Damian Lee. The trooper observed multiple signs of impairment from Lee and took him into custody without incident. In the ensuing investigation, troopers learned that the Mazda struck a fence, and drove through the front yard of two residences, where it nearly hit two children. No injuries were reported.
Lee was taken to Troop 3, where troopers administered Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. After the tests, Lee was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7, and released on a $10,800 unsecured bond.

The Delaware State Police have arrested 22-year-old Andy Dorgilus of Indianapolis, Indiana, as a suspect in the homicide that occurred in Seaford last week.
On April 8, 2025, at approximately 5:50 p.m., officers from the Seaford Police Department and Delaware State Police responded to a report of a shooting on Clarence Street, between Thomas Street and Chandler Street, within the city limits of Seaford. Upon arriving, officers found Rihem Frisby suffering from apparent gunshot wounds and began life-saving efforts. He was transported by EMS to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Due to the nature of the incident, the Seaford Police Department requested the Delaware State Police Homicide Unit assume the investigation. A preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot by an unknown number of suspects.
Through investigative means, detectives identified Andy Dorgilus as a suspect and on April 16, 2025, he was taken into custody without incident.
Dorgilus was arrested and taken to Troop 5, where he was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $1,132,000 cash bond.

Delaware State Police have arrested 44-year-old Ginger Velasquez (Timmons) of Georgetown, Delaware, for 7th offense felony DUI and related traffic offenses.
On April 15, 2025, at approximately 3:18 a.m., a trooper on patrol saw a Chevrolet Cruze traveling eastbound on Wilson Hill Road near Downs Road with an improperly displayed license plate. The trooper pulled the car over and spoke to the driver, identified as Ginger Velasquez, and detected an odor of alcoholic beverage coming from her breath. On March 12, 2025, at approximately 4:24 p.m., officers from the Seaford Police Department and Delaware State Police responded to a report of a shooting at Nutter Park, located at 712 Collins Avenue within the city limits of Seaford. When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered 23-year-old Schweitzer Dessin, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds and began life saving efforts. Dessin was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries. Two other men, ages, 19 and 21, self-transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. A 23-year-old man also self-transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries related to the shooting. Due to the nature of the incident, the Seaford Police Department requested the Delaware State Police Homicide Unit to assume the investigation.
Through investigative means, Delaware State Police Homicide Detectives identified Johnathan Dugazon as a suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest. On March 24, 2025, officers from the Seaford Police Department arrested Dugazon without incident. In the ensuing investigation, detectives identified Jamal Riddick as the second suspect in the homicide and obtained a warrant for his arrest.
On April 15, 2025, Delaware State Police Homicide Detectives executed a search warrant at a residence on the 800 block of South Market Street in Blades where detectives took Jamal Riddick into custody without incident. During the search warrant, detectives found an AR style rifle and firearm ammunition in a room occupied by Dimere Riddick, who is a convicted felon, and prohibited from possessing a firearm and/or ammunition. He too was taken into custody without incident.
Jamal Riddick was arrested and taken to Troop 5, where he was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $1,340,000 cash bond.

Delaware State Police have arrested 36-year-old Ian Tolson and 34-year-old Jaaron Tolson, both from Dover, Delaware, for felony gun and drug charges following search warrants at two Dover residences.
On April 9, 2025, members of the Kent County Drug Unit, Kent County Governor’s Task Force, and the Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team, executed search warrants at a house on Harmony Lane and a house on State Circle, both in Dover. The search warrants were obtained following an investigation of Ian and Jaaron Tolson for the distribution of illegal narcotics from the properties. Before executing the search warrant on State Circle, detectives saw a red Cadillac Escalade, driven by Jaaron Tolson, leave the residence. Detectives conducted a traffic stop on the Cadillac, and Jaaron Tolson was taken into custody without incident. Ian Tolson was taken into custody at the Harmony Lane residence without incident.

When troopers arrived, they learned that the 41-year-old male victim had been stabbed by an unknown suspect. The victim was taken by ambulance to an area hospital with serious injuries. Delaware State Police have arrested 40-year-old Ronald Keiser of Hartly, Delaware and 39-year-old Joseph Jackson, of Marydel, Delaware, for multiple felonies following a series of thefts throughout Kent County.
Beginning in March 2025, Troop 3 Criminal Investigations Unit began investigating several thefts of a similar nature in Kent County. In each of the thefts, unknown suspects trespassed onto various properties and stole landscape trailers and the property on them. During the investigations, detectives identified a light-colored Toyota 4-Runner as the suspect vehicle. Through investigative means, detectives identified Ronald Keiser as a suspect involved in the thefts. On March 25, 2025, detectives executed a search warrant at a property on Brittney Lane in Hartly and recovered a stolen John Deere zero turn lawnmower and Keiser was taken into custody without incident.
Further investigation led detectives to develop Joseph Jackson as the second suspect involved in the thefts. A subsequent search warrant was executed at the same property, which led to the recovery of reported and unreported stolen property, including landscape trailers and a stolen Kia Sorento.
On March 25, 2025, Keiser was arrested and taken to Troop 3, where he was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and released on a $3,100 unsecured bond. On April 1, 2025, Keiser was charged with additional theft related crimes, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7, and released on a $31,400 unsecured bond.

Delaware State Police have arrested 22-year-old Anthony Ortiz of Wilmington, Delaware, for a robbery that occurred yesterday in Wilmington.
On April 6, 2025, at approximately 2:15 p.m., troopers responded to CVS, located at 1605 Telegraph Road in Wilmington, for a report of a robbery. When troopers arrived, they learned that a 16-year-old male was riding his bicycle near Delaware Park when he was approached by the suspect. The victim walked away from the suspect who then began following the victim and threatened him with a pair of hedge clippers. The victim dropped his bicycle, and the suspect ran away with it. The victim followed the suspect from a distance, called 9-1-1, and provided a description of him. Troopers canvassed the area and found the suspect, identified as Anthony Ortiz, a short time later. He was taken into custody without incident. The victim was not hurt.
Ortiz was taken to Troop 2, where he was charged with the crime listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 11, and committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $30,000 secured bond.

The Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run crash that occurred Friday night in Wilmington that left one man dead.
On April 4, 2025, at approximately 11:36 p.m., a pedestrian was walking southbound, in the lane of travel, on Augustine Cut-Off south of Alapocas Drive. At the same time, an unknown vehicle was traveling southbound on Augustine Cut-Off near Alapocas Drive. The investigation revealed that the front of the unknown vehicle hit the pedestrian and fled southbound on Augustine Cut-Off.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is being withheld until his family has been notified.
The roadway was closed for approximately 3 hours while the scene was investigated and cleared.

Delaware State Police have arrested 30-year-old Joshua Bostic of Newark, Delaware for a strong-arm robbery that occurred in December at a Wawa in Bear.
On December 2, 2024, at approximately 5:41 p.m., troopers responded to a report of a strong-arm robbery at the Wawa, located at 1605 Pulaski Highway in Bear. The preliminary investigation revealed an unknown male suspect approached a victim at the ATM inside the store. After the transaction was completed, the suspect attempted to grab the money from the victim, which led to a physical altercation. The victim held onto his money and began leaving the store; however, the suspect followed the victim, and another physical altercation ensued near the front of the store. The suspect ultimately grabbed an undisclosed amount of the victim’s money and fled on foot toward Salem Church Road. The victim was not injured.
Through investigative means, detectives identified Joshua Bostic as the suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest. Bostic was arrested in Cecil County, Maryland and on April 4, 2025, he was extradited to Delaware.

Delaware State Police Detectives continue to investigate a shooting that occurred in Hartly Monday night.
On March 31, 2025, at approximately 11:19 p.m., troopers responded to Sherwood Forest Way in Hartly for a report of a shooting. When troopers arrived, they learned that a 35-year-old male had been shot and taken to the Hartly Volunteer Fire Company. The victim was taken by ambulance to an area hospital with serious injuries. The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was visiting a female when the suspect, who is known by the female and identified as Myreon Lindsey, forcefully entered the house. Lindsey was involved in a verbal and physical altercation with the victim, before shooting him.
On April 4, 2025, Lindsey was arrested in Caroline County, Maryland. Upon extradition to Delaware, he’ll be charged with the following crimes:

Delaware State Police Detectives continue to investigate a shooting that occurred in Hartly Monday night.
On March 31, 2025, at approximately 11:19 p.m., troopers responded to Sherwood Forest Way in Hartly for a report of a shooting. When troopers arrived, they learned that a 35-year-old male had been shot and taken to the Hartly Volunteer Fire Company. The victim was taken by ambulance to an area hospital with serious injuries. The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was visiting a female when the suspect, who is known by the female and identified as Myreon Lindsey, forcefully entered the house. Lindsey was involved in a verbal and physical altercation with the victim, before shooting him.
On April 4, 2025, Lindsey was arrested in Caroline County, Maryland. Upon extradition to Delaware, he’ll be charged with the following crimes:

Delaware State Police have arrested 29-year-old Deion White, of Millsboro, Delaware, for felony gun and drug charges following a search warrant at a Milton residence.
On April 3, 2025, members of the Sussex County Drug Unit and Sussex County Governor’s Task Force, executed a search warrant at a house on the 30000 block of Stockley Road in Milton. The search warrant was obtained following an investigation of White for the distribution of illegal narcotics. Before executing the search warrant, detectives saw a white Ford Fusion, with improper window tint and driven by White, leave the residence and fail to stop at the stop sign at Beaver Dam Road and Stockley Road. Detectives pulled the Fusion over and White was detained.
A search of White and the property led to the discovery of the following items:
Approximately 196.95 grams of heroin
.357 handgun
$2,324 in suspected drug proceeds
White was arrested and taken to Troop 4, where he was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $203,002 cash bond.

Delaware State Police have arrested 27-year-old Troy McNally of Magnolia, Delaware, for felony drug charges following a traffic stop in Magnolia.
On April 3, 2025, at approximately 1:45 a.m., a trooper on patrol saw a Nissan Rogue fail to stop at the stop sign at Walnut Shade Road and Peachtree Run and pulled the Nissan over on Terry Drive. While stopping, the driver of the Nissan, identified as Troy McNally, was seen throwing items from the vehicle and troopers recovered the following items:
Approximately 2.25 grams of heroin
Approximately 6.9 grams of crack cocaine
10 acetaminophen and oxycodone hydrochloride pills
McNally was arrested without incident and taken to Troop 3. He was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $35,000 cash bond.

The Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred this morning in Rehoboth Beach that left one woman dead.
On March 31, 2025, at approximately 7:58 a.m., a Dodge Ram was backing onto the sidewalk to load mulch in the parking lot of Walmart, located at 18922 Rehoboth Mall Boulevard in Rehoboth Beach. At the same time, a pedestrian was standing behind the Dodge, intending to guide the driver back. The investigation revealed that when the Dodge reversed, it hit the pedestrian and pinned her against the building.
The pedestrian, a 66-year-old woman from Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name is being withheld until her family is notified.
The driver of the Dodge, a 76-year-old man, also from Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, was not injured.

The Delaware State Police have arrested a 15-year-old male and two 16-year-old females, all from Wilmington, Delaware, for a robbery that occurred Thursday afternoon at a Wilmington 7-Eleven.
On March 27, 2025, at approximately 1:15 p.m., troopers responded to 7-Eleven, located at 4865 Governor Printz Boulevard, for a report of a robbery. When troopers arrived, they learned that the three teenage suspects were not allowed in the store because of previous shopliftings. When the store clerk told them to leave, they refused and began removing items from the shelves. When the clerk confronted the suspects again, she tried to take the items from them. The suspects assaulted her and fled the store. The victim was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.
While Troop 2 Robbery Detectives were at the scene investigating the robbery, they saw the three suspects, identified through video surveillance, walking back to the 7-Eleven, and were taken into custody without incident.
All three suspects were taken to Troop 2 and charged with multiple crimes.
The 15-year-old male was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 11, and released to a guardian on a $2,000 unsecured bond.

Delaware State Police are investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash that occurred last night in Selbyville that left one woman dead.
On March 26, 2025, at approximately 8:51 p.m., a Hyundai Sonata was traveling westbound on Cypress Road approaching a curve near Daisey Road. The investigation revealed that the Sonata failed to negotiate the curve, left the north side of the road, and the right rear of the car struck a tree. After the collision with the tree, the Sonata continued westbound and struck a second tree.
The driver, a 27-year-old woman from Bishopville, Maryland, was flown to an area hospital with serious injuries and later died. Her name is being withheld until her family is notified.
Cypress Road was closed for an extended time while the scene was investigated and cleared.

Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal three-vehicle crash that occurred this morning in Felton that left one man dead.
On March 26, 2025, at approximately 9:01 a.m., a Ford Fusion was traveling southbound on Canterbury Road north of Roesville Road at an apparent high rate of speed. At the same time, a Toyota Camry was traveling northbound on Canterbury Road approaching the intersection at Roesville Road. A third vehicle, a Mazda CX-5, was also traveling northbound behind the Camry. The preliminary investigation revealed that the Camry attempted to turn westbound onto Roesville Road and as a result, the front of the Fusion struck the right rear of the Camry. After the collision with the Camry, the Fusion left the east side of Canterbury Road, re-entered the roadway, and the front of the Fusion struck the front of the Mazda. The Mazda then entered a drainage ditch causing it to rollover on its side.
The driver of the Fusion, a 33-year-old man from Dover, Delaware, was unrestrained and pronounced dead at the scene. His name is being withheld until his family is notified.
The driver of the Mazda, a 28-year-old man from Felton, Delaware, was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the Camry, a 70-year-old woman from Felton, Delaware, was not injured.
The roadway was closed for approximately 4.5 hours while the scene was investigated and cleared.

Delaware State Police Homicide Detectives have arrested 23-year-old Johnathan Dugazon of Seaford, Delaware as a suspect in the homicide that occurred in Seaford earlier this month.
On March 12, 2025, at approximately 4:24 p.m., officers from the Seaford Police Department and Delaware State Police responded to a report of a shooting at Nutter Park, located at 712 Collins Avenue within the city limits of Seaford. When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered 23-year-old Schweitzer Dessin, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds and began life saving efforts. Dessin was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries. Two other men, ages, 19 and 21, self-transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. A 23-year-old man also self-transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries related to the shooting. Due to the nature of the incident, the Seaford Police Department requested the Delaware State Police Homicide Unit to assume the investigation.
Through investigative means, Delaware State Police Homicide Detectives identified Dugazon as a suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest. On March 24, 2025, officers from the Seaford Police Department arrested Dugazon without incident. He was taken to Troop 5, where he was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $2,156,000 cash bond.

The Delaware State Police are investigating an attempted robbery that occurred in Seaford early Tuesday morning.
On March 18, 2025, at approximately 2:47 a.m., troopers were contacted at Troop 5 in Bridgeville for a report of an attempted robbery that occurred on Concord Road near Sussex Highway in Seaford. The preliminary investigation revealed that at approximately 12:56 a.m., the victim, who was driving for a ride share service, was traveling on Concord Road with two unknown white females. When the victim stopped at the red light at Concord Road and Sussex Highway, an unknown black male suspect approached him after exiting another vehicle. The suspect leaned into the victim’s car and attempted to take his property. While the suspect was trying to take the victim’s property, the female sitting in the back seat restrained him. The victim struggled with the suspects, and all three fled without the victim’s property. The victim was not hurt.

The Delaware State Police, in collaboration with the Delaware Department of Correction, have arrested 27-year-old Yesenia Martinez-Morales of Wilmington, Delaware, for felony drug charges following an official misconduct investigation.
On March 16, 2025, Delaware State Police Troop 2 Drug Unit responded to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center, located at 1181 Paddock Road in Smyrna, for a drug investigation initiated by the Department of Correction. The investigation revealed that a Correctional Officer, identified as Yesenia Martinez-Morales, had smuggled approximately 5.82 grams of methamphetamines into the prison.
Department of Correction Commissioner Terra Taylor said:“The action taken by the Department of Correction to initiate this criminal investigation and to expand the investigation through Delaware State Police demonstrates our commitment to protecting the health and safety of our employees and incarcerated individuals and the facilities in which they work and live. Illicit and illegal contraband cannot be tolerated, and we are determined to reduce the threat by enforcing our high standards of professional integrity and by holding those responsible accountable for their conduct.”

Delaware State Police have arrested 58-year-old Dave Moncavage of Georgetown, Delaware for home improvement fraud.
Beginning in October of 2024, Troop 4 Financial Crimes Detectives began investigating Dave Moncavage for home improvement fraud who operated under the business name of Advanced Interiors. During the investigations, detectives learned that Moncavage had signed contracts with 2 victims to do construction work and received over $24,000 in payments. In both cases, Moncavage never completed these projects and detectives obtained warrants for his arrest.
On March 12, 2025, at approximately 2:59 p.m., a trooper on patrol saw a white Ford F-150 traveling southbound on Mount Zion Road near Sussex Highway in Seaford. The trooper saw that the truck had lost a load of material from the bed and pulled it over. The trooper contacted the driver, identified as Dave Moncavage, and a computer check revealed the home improvement warrants as well as capias warrants. He was taken into custody without incident and during a search of Moncavage and the truck, the trooper found drug paraphernalia.
Moncavage was taken to Troop 5, where he was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and released on a $5,000 unsecured bond.

Delaware State Police have arrested 26-year-old Dylan Crew of Westminster, Maryland for home improvement fraud following multiple investigations.
Beginning in October of 2024, Troop 4 Financial Crimes Detectives began investigating Dylan Crew for home improvement fraud. Crew operated under the business name of Coastline Contractors Group, LLC. During the investigations, detectives learned that Crew had signed contracts with 6 victims to do residential renovations and other construction. Crew received over $1,000,000 in payments and in all cases, the projects were never completed.
Detectives obtained warrants for his arrest and on March 13, 2025, Crew turned himself in at Troop 4. He was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and released on a $132,000 unsecured bond.

The Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Dunkin Donuts in New Castle that occurred early this morning.
On February 23, 2025, at approximately 2:32 a.m., troopers responded to a report of an armed robbery at Dunkin Donuts, located at 4004 North Dupont Highway in New Castle. The preliminary investigation revealed that an unknown black male suspect entered the business, sat at a table, and spoke with the female store employee. After being in the store for some time, the suspect displayed a gun and demanded money from the register. The store employee complied, and the suspect ran away with an undisclosed amount of cash. The store employee was not hurt. Troopers searched for the suspect but were unable to locate him.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’8″ tall with a slim build. Surveillance video and images are not yet available.

The Delaware State Police have arrested 44-year-old Jarad Hammond of Lewes, Delaware for an armed robbery that occurred in Newark yesterday morning.
On February 21, 2025, at approximately 10:07 a.m., troopers responded to the parking lot of Sonesta Suites, located at 240 Chapman Road in Newark, for a report of a carjacking. When troopers arrived, they learned that the handicapped victim was sitting in his silver Hyundai Sonata, when the white male suspect approached him and asked if he needed help with his wheelchair. When the victim said no, the suspect briefly walked away but returned, threatened him with a knife, and told him to get out of the car. The victim got out of the car and into his wheelchair. While going to call 9-1-1, the suspect chased after the victim, again threatened him with the knife, and demanded the keys. The victim complied and the suspect fled in the victim’s car. The victim was not hurt.
Troopers searched the area and found the Sonata a short distance away. Troopers continued to search for the suspect and short time later, troopers found the suspect, identified as Jarad Hammond, in the University Plaza Shopping Center. He was taken into custody without incident. During a search of Hammond’s person, troopers found the victim’s keys and during a later search of the Sonata, troopers found knives and Hammond’s property.
Hammond was taken to Troop 2, where he was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $50,000 cash bond.

The Delaware State Police and the American Legion are sponsoring the 52nd Annual Trooper Youth Week from Monday, June 16 to Friday, June 20, 2025.
Trooper Youth Week is a week-long live-in Academy program designed to give high school students who are sincerely interested in law enforcement an opportunity to experience the rigors of training that police officers receive at the DSP Academy in Dover. The program is both mentally and physically challenging.
The students are selected from a competitive pool and are required to participate in daily physical training, as well as a variety of law enforcement-related classroom instruction. Daily physical training will include outdoor running, push-ups, and sit-ups, among other exercises. The program is facilitated by uniform troopers assigned to the DSP Training Academy and School Resource Officers from across the state.
High school seniors, juniors, and sophomores are all encouraged to apply. Applications can be downloaded directly from our Trooper Youth Week website or by contacting a school resource officer at their respective school. There is no cost to the student to attend this training.

Delaware State Police Detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred in Bridgeville yesterday afternoon.
On February 13, 2025, at approximately 3:50 p.m., troopers responded to the 21000 block of Coverdale Road in Bridgeville for a report of a shooting. When troopers arrived, they found a 41-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to an area hospital with critical injuries. The investigation is active and ongoing.

Delaware State Police have arrested 37-year-old William Nieberg, Seaford, Delaware, for felony gun and drug charges following a search warrant at a Seaford residence last week.
On February 6, 2025, members of the Sussex County Drug Unit and Sussex County Governor’s Task Force, executed a search warrant at a house on the 10000 block of Pit Road in Seaford. The search warrant was obtained following an investigation of Nieberg for the manufacturing and distribution of illegal narcotics from the property. Before executing the search warrant, detectives saw a Hummer H3, driven by Nieberg, leave the residence. Detectives pulled the Hummer over and Nieberg was detained.
A search of the property led to the discovery of the following items:
9mm handgun with no serial number and ammunition
Approximately 3,821.55 grams of marijuana
Digital scale
Equipment used for growing marijuana
Nieberg was arrested and taken to Troop 4, where he was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $153,100 cash bond.

Delaware State Police have arrested 28-year-old Steven McCormick of Salisbury, Maryland, for gun and drug offenses following a pursuit in Seaford.
On February 4, 2025, at approximately 11:02 p.m. troopers assisted Seaford Police Department with locating a Nissan Rogue that fled from them when they attempted to pull it over. Troopers saw the Rogue speeding eastbound on West Stein Highway and also tried to pull it over, but it sped away. During the pursuit, the Rogue drove in a reckless manner on several Seaford area streets and roads and collided with a marked State Police Tahoe on Sussex Highway near Cannon Road. After colliding with the police Tahoe, the Rogue traveled southbound in the northbound lanes of Sussex Highway. The Rogue ultimately came to a stop near Middleford Road after stop sticks were used and the driver, identified as Steven McCormick, was taken into custody.
During a search of McCormick and the Rogue, troopers found the following items:
12-gauge shotgun and ammunition
Approximately 5.1 grams of heroin
Approximately 350.73 grams of marijuana
Digital scales
$476.00 in suspected drug proceeds
McCormick was taken to Troop 5, where he was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $238,506 cash bond.

Delaware State Police have arrested 49-year-old Roy Nichols, of Seaford, Delaware, for DUI and drug charges while driving a stolen car.
On February 4, 2025, at approximately 1:15 p.m., troopers on patrol saw a Toyota Camry with a North Carolina registration traveling eastbound on Old Furnace Road near Sandy Ridge Drive in Seaford. A computer check of the registration showed the Camry was reported stolen in Pennsylvania. Troopers pulled the car over and contacted the driver, identified as Roy Nichols, who showed signs of impairment and was arrested without incident.
During a search of Nichols and the Camry, troopers found the following items:
Approximately 9.53 grams of cocaine
Approximately 1.03 grams of crack cocaine
Approximately 0.39 grams of heroin
$1,450 in suspected drug dealing proceeds
Drug paraphernalia
Nichols was taken to Troop 5, and after Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, he was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $14,700 secured bond.

Delaware State Police Homicide Detectives have identified 20-year-old Daveon Showell of Bridgeville, Delaware as the suspect in a 2023 Bridgeville homicide, and is in custody in Virginia awaiting extradition to Delaware.
On May 14, 2023, at approximately 7:01 p.m., troopers responded to the 21000 block of Mill Park Drive regarding a shooting that had just occurred. Troopers arrived and found 23-year-old Orbby Holder of Bridgeville, Delaware lying on the front yard of a residence suffering from gunshot wounds. Troopers and EMS personnel rendered medical aid to Holder at the scene, and he was taken to an area hospital for emergency treatment. Holder was later pronounced dead at the hospital, and the Delaware State Police Homicide Unit assumed the investigation.
Through investigative means, Delaware State Police Homicide Detectives identified Daveon Showell as the suspect, and on January 27, 2025, he was indicted by a Sussex County Grand Jury.
On February 3, 2025, Showell was taken into custody in Accomack, Virginia. Upon extradition to Delaware, he will be charged with the crimes listed below:

Delaware State Police Detectives continue to investigate a shooting that occurred in Frankford and are asking for the public’s help with locating the suspect, 18-year-old Kelvin Wescott of Seaford, Delaware.
On February 2, 2025, at approximately 1:00 p.m., troopers responded to the 28000 block of Gum Tree Road in Frankford for a report of a shooting. When troopers arrived, they learned that a 41-year-old male had been shot and taken to the Frankford Fire Company. The victim was taken to an area hospital with critical injuries.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a black male and the victim were engaged in an argument at a residence when the suspect shot the victim and fled the scene. Through investigative means, detectives identified Kelvin Wescott as the suspect and are working to locate him.

The Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run crash that occurred this morning in Camden that left one man dead.
On January 31, 2025, at approximately 6:30 a.m., an unknown vehicle was traveling southbound on South Dupont Highway approaching Caboose Lane. At the same time, a pedestrian was walking eastbound, crossing the southbound lanes of South Dupont Highway. The preliminary investigation revealed that the unknown vehicle struck the pedestrian. The vehicle did not stop and continued southbound on South Dupont Highway. After the pedestrian was struck, he was hit by other vehicles that also did not stop.
The pedestrian, a 93-year-old man from Camden, Delaware, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is being withheld until his family has been notified.
South Dupont Highway was closed for approximately 4 hours while the scene was investigated and cleared.

The Delaware State Police have arrested 45-year-old Randolph Shockley of Magnolia, Delaware for 6th offense DUI and related charges following a pursuit that occurred in Dover yesterday.
On January 29, 2025, at approximately 5:14 p.m., a trooper on patrol saw a Dodge Charger speeding southbound on Bay Road near Dover Air Force Base. The trooper attempted to pull the car over, but it failed to stop. During the pursuit, the Charger committed multiple traffic violations as it traveled on area roads, and ultimately came to a stop on Barkers Landing Road after stop sticks were used. The driver, identified as Randolph Shockley, who showed signs of impairment, was taken into custody without incident. A computer check revealed that Shockley had a revoked driver’s license and five prior DUI-related convictions.
Shockley was taken to Troop 3, where he was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $24,007 secured bond.

Delaware State Police have arrested 49-year-old Jason Griffith of Selbyville, Delaware and 81-year-old Robert Griffith of Bridgeville, Delaware for theft and related charges following an investigation of the fraudulent sale of vehicles.
In November of 2024, detectives began investigating Jason Griffith and Robert Griffith of Geared Up Trucks and More LLC, and Wicked Wrench, located at 34407 Dupont Boulevard in Frankford, for the fraudulent sale of vehicles. During the investigation, detectives learned that both men had involvement in the sale of vehicles that were in for repair. Additionally, the suspects falsified documents to obtain vehicle title information, sold vehicles that had already been purchased, sold stolen vehicles from out of state, and did not provide victims with vehicles after payment was made.
Detectives obtained warrants for their arrest and last week, both men turned themselves in at Troop 4, where they were charged with multiple crimes.

The Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery that occurred yesterday in the parking lot of Manor Creek Shopping Center in New Castle.
On January 26, 2025, at approximately 1:08 p.m., troopers responded to Manor Creek Shopping Center, located at 1413 North Dupont Parkway in New Castle, for a report of a robbery. The investigation revealed that a black male suspect approached the victim in the parking lot, displayed a knife and demanded his property. The victim struggled with the suspect, and he fled the area without the victim’s property. The victim suffered minor injuries.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6’0” – 6’3” tall, weighing approximately 220-240 pounds, and was last seen wearing tan pants and a green hooded sweatshirt. Surveillance video and images are not yet available.
Delaware State Police Troop 2 Robbery Unit continues to investigate this incident. Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding this case to contact Detective D. The Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Dupont Boulevard near Millsboro early yesterday morning.
On January 25, 2025, at approximately 5:22 p.m., troopers responded to a report of a shooting that occurred on Dupont Boulevard near Millsboro. The preliminary investigation revealed that on January 25th at approximately 1:45 a.m., the victim was driving northbound on Dupont Boulevard near Avenue of Honor, when an unknown vehicle passed the victim, and an unknown suspect fired an unknown number of shots that hit the victim’s vehicle. The suspect vehicle fled the area northbound on Dupont Boulevard. The victim was not hurt.

The Delaware State Police have arrested 40-year-old Candido Felix Reynolds of Milford, Delaware for felony drug and multiple traffic offenses following a crash while attempting to elude a traffic stop last night near Millsboro that left one man injured.
On January 25, 2025, at approximately 6:05 p.m., a trooper on patrol saw an Audi A8 traveling southbound on Mount Joy Road near Cannon Road with an equipment violation. When the trooper turned around to pull it over, the Audi fled at a high rate of speed, driving recklessly on Cannon Road, eluding the trooper. As the Audi approached the intersection at Cannon Road and Indian Mission Road, it failed to stop at the stop sign, lost control, and began traveling southbound on Indian Mission Road at a high rate of speed. At the same time, a Jaguar XK was traveling southbound on Indian Mission Road south of Cannon Road when the front of the Audi hit the back of the Jaguar.
The driver of the Jaguar, an 83-year-old man from Millsboro, Delaware, was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Audi, identified as Candido Felix Reynolds, had minor injuries but refused medical treatment.
After the crash, troopers searched the Audi and found approximately 29.14 grams of cocaine.
Reynolds was arrested and taken to Troop 4, where he was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $7,000 secured bond.

Disregarding a Police Officer’s Signal (Felony)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Indian Mission Road was closed for approximately 4 hours while the scene was investigated and cleared.
