Good morning, Delmarva! Start your Monday with some caution — patchy fog will be hanging around through the early morning hours, so give yourself extra time on the roads before 8am. Once that fog lifts, we’ll see mostly sunny skies pushing temperatures up to a warm high near 85°F with a south breeze of 5 to 10 mph.
Here’s the big story today: storm chances ramp up as the afternoon rolls in. We could see isolated showers and storms developing around 11am, but the better chance for showers and thunderstorms arrives between 1pm and 4pm. A 60% chance of precipitation means don’t leave that umbrella at home! Rainfall totals of a quarter to half an inch are possible, so keep an eye on the sky.
Tonight stays unsettled with a slight storm chance before patchy fog returns, and lows dip to a comfortable 68°F. Tuesday looks very similar — fog in the morning giving way to showers and thunderstorms through the day and night.
Stay weather aware out there, Delmarva — and have a great Monday!
