LONDON — David Lammy has departed from the United Kingdom’s government after Andy Burnham took over as prime minister, according to a Reuters report published Monday.

Lammy, who held dual roles as both Deputy Prime Minister and justice minister, shared a statement about his exit on the social media platform X.

In addition to Lammy’s departure, business minister Peter Kyle also left the government, according to a report from Sky News.
