
Tropical Storm Bertha has made landfall along the Louisiana Gulf Coast, striking St. Bernard Parish with sustained winds reaching approximately 45 mph.
According to the National Hurricane Center, as of 2:00 PM Central Daylight Time on Wednesday, July 22, the center of the storm was positioned near coordinates 29.9 degrees north latitude and 89.4 degrees west longitude.
The storm was tracking in a west-northwest direction at a forward speed of about 7 miles per hour at the time of the report. The minimum central pressure was recorded at 1000 millibars.
Residents in the affected areas of Louisiana are urged to follow guidance from local emergency management officials as Bertha moves inland.
