SMYRNA, Del. — The Delaware Department of Transportation is alerting motorists to an upcoming road closure in Smyrna that will affect travel along SR 6/Main Street.
Beginning Monday, August 3rd and running through Friday, August 7th — weather permitting — the section of SR 6/Main Street between Duck Creek Parkway and West Glenwood Avenue will be completely closed. The work is necessary for the replacement of a crossroad pipe.
Drivers will need to follow detour routes during the closure. Northbound travelers on North Main Street should turn left onto West Glenwood Avenue, then turn right onto Main Street, followed by a right onto North Basset Street, continue onto Duck Creek Parkway, and return to North Main Street.
Southbound travelers on North Main Street should turn right onto Duck Creek Parkway, continue left onto North Basset Street, turn left onto Main Street, then turn left onto West Glenwood Avenue before arriving back at North Main Street.
