Ryan Preece will stay in the driver’s seat of RFK Racing’s No. 60 Ford when the 2027 NASCAR Cup Series season rolls around.
Team co-owner Brad Keselowski made the announcement Saturday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, revealing that RFK had already exercised an option in Preece’s multiyear contract months earlier.
“We’re going to continue to keep him as a part of the family for a while,” Keselowski said.
Preece came to RFK Racing in 2025 following a two-season stint with Stewart-Haas Racing. Although he just missed qualifying for the playoffs in his debut year with the team, it turned out to be the strongest Cup campaign of his career — highlighted by three top-five finishes and an 18th-place result in the final standings.
The 35-year-old Connecticut native heads into Sunday’s Brickyard 400 sitting 18th in the current points standings. He has posted four top-10 finishes across the first 21 races of this season as he continues his pursuit of a first career Cup Series playoff berth.
Over nine seasons and 243 Cup Series starts, Preece has collected two poles and 33 top-10 finishes. A points-paying victory at NASCAR’s highest level, however, still eludes him.
