Authorities have confirmed that a Newark resident who was the subject of a Gold Alert has been found safe, prompting officials to cancel the alert.
Garrett Humphrey, whose disappearance had prompted law enforcement to issue the Gold Alert, has been successfully located, according to officials.
The alert system, which is used to help locate missing adults who may be in danger, is no longer active for this case.
