A Charlotte, North Carolina-based food company is pulling a limited quantity of spicy breakfast burritos from shelves after discovering the products may contain soy that is not listed on the label.
Fresh & Ready Foods LLC announced the voluntary recall of both its Sprig & Sprout Spicy Breakfast Burrito and its Fresh and Ready Spicy Breakfast Burrito. The concern is that the undisclosed soy ingredient could pose a serious danger to anyone with a soy allergy or sensitivity.
Health officials warn that individuals who are allergic or highly sensitive to soy could experience severe or even life-threatening reactions if they consume these products without knowing soy is present.
Consumers who have purchased either of these burrito products are urged to check their packaging. Anyone with a soy allergy should not eat the recalled items.
