Recent surveys suggest that while religious leaders have mostly bounced back from pandemic-related challenges, a significant portion still contemplate leaving their calling entirely. The shortage has become so severe that some congregations have been forced to either shut their doors permanently or merge with other churches due to the absence of available pastoral leadership.
