Airbus appears to be on solid footing heading into the second half of 2026, with its chief executive saying first-half delivery numbers line up with the company’s annual goal of 870 aircraft.
Speaking to CNBC TV on the sidelines of the Farnborough Airshow in England, CEO Guillaume Faury said a stabilization in engine supplies helped drive a significant increase in output over the past six months.
“We have delivered 15% more aircraft in the first half of 2026 than we did in the first half of 2025. So that’s very consistent with the ramp-up trajectory we want to deliver this year,” Faury said, according to excerpts released by the news channel.
The comments signal confidence from Airbus leadership that the production pace needed to hit its yearly target remains intact.
