The Dover Police Department has activated a Gold Alert for William Ross, 46, of Lincoln, Delaware, after he walked away from a Dover hospital on Wednesday morning without receiving treatment.
According to authorities, Ross was at Bayhealth Kent Campus, located at 640 S. State Street in Dover, on Wednesday, July 22nd, 2026, at approximately 9:35 a.m. He had been waiting to be treated for a medical condition that could put his health and safety at risk.
Before receiving care, Ross exited through the Emergency Transport doors and left on foot. His destination is unknown.
Ross is described as a Black male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 155 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. At the time he left, he was wearing a navy blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and white sneakers.
