*Update – Suspect in Custody* State Police Detectives Investigating Armed Robbery in Laurel

Delaware State Police Detectives have identified 28-year-old Damiean Turner of Cambridge, Maryland, as the suspect in the robbery that occurred last week in Laurel and is in custody in Maryland awaiting extradition to Delaware.

On May 12, 2025, at approximately 3:01 p.m., troopers responded to a report of an armed robbery at Hardee’s, located at 30759 Sussex Highway in Laurel. The investigation revealed that an unknown black male suspect entered the drive through, displayed a gun at the employee, and demanded money from the register. The employee complied, and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. The employee was not hurt.

On May 14, 2025, Cambridge Police Department responded to Dorchester Square, after a citizen recognized a black Honda with Maryland registration matching the description of the Honda used in the armed robbery at Hardee’s on May 12th. When officers arrived, they contacted the driver of the Honda, identified as Damiean Turner. During the investigation, Turner was identified as the suspect in the robbery, and he was taken into custody.

Upon extradition to Delaware, Turner will be charged with the crimes listed below:
