Ohio farmer Jed Bower says the way prices are structured simply isn&#8217;t working for producers trying to stay afloat.<\/p><p>Relief may be on the horizon. The U.S. House is expected to take up a budget resolution this week that could unlock as much as $12 billion in additional farmer aid through reconciliation. Garrett Hawkins of the Missouri Farm Bureau described himself as cautiously optimistic that Congress will follow through.<\/p><p>For livestock producers, experts are urging a close review of vaccination programs before weaning season. A solid vaccination approach, paired with good nutrition and low-stress handling, can mean fewer disease outbreaks and a healthier bottom line.<\/p><h3>Markets<\/h3><p>Yesterday&#8217;s closing prices showed September corn finishing at $4.52\u00be, up 3\u00bc cents. August soybeans settled at $12.19\u00bd, down 6\u00bd cents. September Chicago wheat closed at $6.78, up 4 cents. At Laurel Grain Company in Laurel, Delaware, September corn bids are at $5.01\/bu.<\/p><h3>Forecast<\/h3><p>Wednesday&#8217;s high will reach 87\u00b0F with westerly winds at 10-15 mph. A chance of showers and thunderstorms is expected this afternoon.
