The City is moving away from its existing 2.5% convenience fee structure and adopting a new pass-through service fee model managed by Tyler Technologies.<\/p><p>Under the new system, fees will be determined by Tyler Technologies based on the payment method chosen and will show up as a separate line item on your transaction.<\/p><p>Here is a breakdown of what to expect under the new fee schedule:<\/p><p><strong>Credit and debit cards<\/strong> \u2014 whether used online or in person \u2014 will carry a fee of 3.75% of the total transaction amount, with a minimum charge of $2.50.<\/p><p><strong>ACH and eCheck payments<\/strong> made online will be charged a flat fee of $1.95 per transaction.<\/p><p><strong>Checks paid in person<\/strong> will not incur any additional fee.<\/p><p><strong>Credit card chargebacks<\/strong> will result in a $15.00 fee per occurrence.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The City of Rehoboth Beach is rolling out a new cashiering system on August 1 that will change how payment fees are handled.
