The Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred this morning at a Walgreens in Newark.<\/p>\n
On July 2, 2024, at approximately 8:07 a.m., troopers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Walgreens located at 2719 Pulaski Highway in Newark. The preliminary investigation revealed that an unknown black male suspect armed with a firearm approached a Walgreens employee and demanded money from the safe. The employee complied and the suspect fled in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash.<\/p>\n
The suspect is described as a black male wearing dark-colored clothing. Surveillance video and images of the suspect are not available.<\/p>\n
The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Criminal Investigations Unit is still investigating this. Detectives are asking anyone with information about this case to contact Detective R.
