Delaware State Police are working to identify a suspect following an armed robbery that took place Monday evening at a Wilmington shopping center.<\/p>

At around 5:00 p.m. on June 29, 2026, troopers were called to a shopping center in the 3100 block of Kirkwood Highway after a robbery was reported. According to the preliminary investigation, the victim was walking through the parking lot selling candy when an unidentified suspect approached and demanded the victim hand over their belongings. The victim initially refused, at which point the suspect pulled out a handgun. The victim then gave up their property, and the suspect fled the area. The victim was not physically harmed during the encounter.<\/p>

The Delaware State Police Criminal Investigations Unit is continuing to look into the crime. Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed the robbery or has any relevant information to reach out to Detective M. Conway at (302) 365-8411. Tips can also be submitted by sending a private message to the Delaware State Police on Facebook, or by contacting Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-847-3333.<\/p>
