Delaware State Police are investigating a deadly two-vehicle crash that took place Friday evening in Milford, leaving two people dead and one seriously injured.<\/p>

The collision happened on June 26, 2026, at around 9:15 p.m. on Milford Harrington Highway near the intersection of Church Hill Road. Investigators say a Ford Mustang was heading westbound at a high rate of speed when it struck the rear of a Nissan Rogue that had just turned right onto the highway from Church Hill Road. The force of the impact caused the Nissan to spin out, flip over into a utility pole, and burst into flames.<\/p>

Both the driver and passenger of the Nissan were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not yet been determined.<\/p>

The driver of the Ford Mustang, a 36-year-old man from Harrington, Delaware, was transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.<\/p>

The highway remained closed for roughly four hours while troopers worked to investigate and clear the scene.<\/p>

The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is continuing its investigation into the cause of the crash. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has video footage is urged to reach out to Master Corporal J. Lane at (302) 698-8457.
