A federal appeals court has put a California law on hold that prohibited public school employees from notifying parents when their child was presenting as the opposite sex while at school.<\/p>

A three-judge panel from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals granted a preliminary injunction against the law, pausing its enforcement while a legal challenge works its way through the courts. The city of Huntington Beach brought the lawsuit and had asked the court to block the law in the meantime.<\/p>
