The Delaware State Police are investigating a parking lot robbery in Wilmington last night.<\/p>\n
On April 20, 2024, at approximately 9:36 p.m., troopers responded to Canby Park Shopping Center on Maryland Avenue in Wilmington, for a robbery that happened in the parking lot near China Dragon Restaurant. When troopers arrived, they learned that a 35-year-old man was getting into his car when he was approached by two men. The two men assaulted the victim and stole his money. The suspects left the scene in an unknown vehicle towards Maryland Avenue. The victim was taken to an area hospital for minor injuries.<\/p>\n
The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 35-40 years of age, wearing a hat, white t-shirt, and blue sweatpants. The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 35 years of age, wearing a navy t-shirt, gray pants, and gray sneakers.<\/p>\n
Surveillance video and images of the suspects are not yet available.<\/p>\n
The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Robbery Unit is investigating this incident. Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding this case to contact Detective J.
