The owner was able to track the vehicle using GPS technology. When troopers spotted the Silverado on POW\/MIA Parkway and attempted a traffic stop, the driver accelerated and fled. The chase involved dangerous speeds and erratic driving across multiple Kent County roadways. The pursuit concluded after the Silverado drove through the grass median on South Dupont Highway near Longacre Drive and crashed when the driver couldn&#8217;t make a turn, causing damage to a nearby business. Following the collision, the masked suspect attempted to escape on foot but was apprehended shortly after.<\/p><p>Authorities transported the youth to Troop 3, where he faced charges on the following offenses, was processed through Justice of the Peace Court 11, and was released to a parent or guardian with a $5,260 unsecured bond.<\/p><ul><li>Theft of a Motor Vehicle (Felony)<\/li><li>Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)<\/li><li>Disregarding a Police Officer&#8217;s Signal (Felony)<\/li><li>Resisting Arrest<\/li><li>Driving Without a Valid License<\/li><li>Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Crash<\/li><li>Malicious Mischief by a Motor Vehicle<\/li><li>Reckless and Aggressive Driving<\/li><li>Multiple Traffic Violations<\/li><\/ul>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A 15-year-old from Maryland was taken into custody following a dangerous pursuit through Kent County after stealing a truck with trailer.
