CANNES, France – Romanian filmmaker Cristian Mungiu claimed the prestigious Palme d’Or award at the Cannes Film Festival on Saturday for his latest work “Fjord.”<\/p>

This marks Mungiu’s second victory at the festival’s highest honor, following his 2007 triumph with “4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days.”<\/p>
