Narrative: <\/strong><\/span>The Dover Police Department is investigating an attempted robbery that occurred Sunday evening. The investigation began when Dover Police Department received a call for an attempted Robbery in the unit block of Ridgley Street at 6:00 p.m.. Officers responded and contacted the victim, a 34-year-old female of Dover. The investigation revealed that the victim was outside of a residence and was approached by a black male wearing all black. The suspect displayed a black handgun and demanded the victim turn over property. The victim did not comply and immediately called 911, at which time the suspect ran westbound.\u00a0

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6\u20190\u2033, 180 pounds, wearing a black ski mask, black hooded sweatshirt and black pants<\/p>\n

This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Dover Police Department at (302) 736-7130. Callers may remain anonymous. Tips may also be submitted to law enforcement through Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333 or online at www.delaware.crimestoppersweb.com<\/a>\u00a0; a cash reward is possible for information leading to an arrest.<\/p>\n
