New Castle County Police are investigating after a man walked into Christiana Hospital with a gunshot wound Monday afternoon.<\/p>

The incident unfolded around 2:50 p.m. on April 20, 2026, when law enforcement was called to the hospital regarding a shooting victim who had arrived seeking treatment.<\/p>

When officers arrived at the medical facility, they found a 30-year-old man who had been shot in the upper body. Medical staff reported the victim was listed in critical condition.<\/p>

The shooting is believed to have occurred in the Concord Bridge Place area of Newark, according to authorities with the New Castle County Division of Police.<\/p>
