Growers from Kent County down through the Eastern Shore are planting corn and soybeans ahead of schedule. Extension agents reported the moisture window has been ideal, but rainfall will be needed within the next 10 days to support germination.<\/p>\n\n<h2>Markets<\/h2>\n\n<p>Corn futures closed Monday at $5.18 per bushel, up $0.03. Soybeans settled at $11.42, down $0.05. Wheat finished at $6.07, up $0.02.<\/p>\n\n<p>Locally, Delaware spot corn is running $4.95 to $5.05, and soybeans are bringing $11.20 to $11.35 at most elevators.<\/p>\n\n<h2>Forecast<\/h2>\n\n<p>Partly sunny skies are expected this evening with temperatures dropping to 77\u00b0F under southwest winds at 15 mph.
