Colin Shockley (Delaware State Police)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

A 21-year-old Viola man is facing drug and weapons charges following a traffic stop in the Camden area on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delaware State Police say Colin Shockley was stopped in the area of South DuPont Highway and POW-MIA Parkway by a trooper for having tinted windows without a waiver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The trooper noticed a strong odor of marijuana and spotted a rifle inside the vehicle in plain sight. Shockley was detained without incident, and a search of the vehicle uncovered 17 grams of marijuana, an American Tactical assault rifle, and a handgun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shockley was transported to Troop 3 and charged with the following offenses:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon (Felony)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Possession of a Firearm While Possessing a Controlled Substance (Felony) \u2013 2 counts<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Possession of Marijuana<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Failure to Have Insurance Identification in Possession<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Operating a Vehicle With Improper Window Tinting<\/p>\n\n\n\n
