The environmental initiative will span 13 different locations across northern New Castle County.<\/p><p>The volunteer cleanup activity is scheduled to run for three hours on Saturday morning, April 11th, beginning at 9 a.m. and concluding at noon. Officials are positioning the event as an opportunity for residents to celebrate Earth Day early while making a positive environmental impact.<\/p><p>Those interested in participating can register through DNREC to join the annual watershed restoration effort along the Christina River system.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Delaware&#8217;s environmental agency is calling for community volunteers to help clean up 13 locations along the Christina River Watershed.
