TOKYO – Japanese competition regulators conducted a search of Microsoft Japan’s headquarters on Wednesday as part of an ongoing investigation into possible anti-competitive business practices, according to a report from the Nikkei business publication.<\/p>

The Japan Fair Trade Commission’s action stems from concerns that the technology company may have unlawfully prevented customers using its Azure cloud computing service from accessing competing cloud platforms, sources with knowledge of the investigation told Nikkei.<\/p>
