Delaware State Police have announced that property owners can now begin the process of retrieving vehicles and personal belongings left behind at the Wilmington DMV following an incident on December 23, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyone who abandoned cars, personal items, or other belongings at the DMV facility on 2230 Hessler Boulevard in Wilmington should reach out to state police to arrange pickup, according to authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For safe and organized property recovery, owners must email Detective D. Grassi at daniel.grassi@delaware.gov to coordinate the process. Police say further instructions will be given once contact is made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authorities warn that some areas of the property remain off-limits as investigators continue examining the line-of-duty death case. State police are asking for continued patience and understanding from the community while the investigation proceeds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyone affected by crime, serving as a witness, or grieving the sudden loss of a family member can access support through the Delaware State Police Victim Services Unit and Delaware Victim Center.
