{"id":18682,"date":"2025-10-24T11:04:56","date_gmt":"2025-10-24T15:04:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tvdelmarva.com\/?p=18682"},"modified":"2025-10-24T11:05:02","modified_gmt":"2025-10-24T15:05:02","slug":"delaware-department-of-labor-launches-resources-ahead-of-paid-leave-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tvdelmarva.com\/wp\/delaware-department-of-labor-launches-resources-ahead-of-paid-leave-program\/","title":{"rendered":"Delaware Department of Labor Launches Resources Ahead of Paid Leave Program"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>WILMINGTON, Del. \u2014<\/strong> The Delaware Department of Labor\u2019s Division of Paid Leave has unveiled online tools and resources to help employers, third-party administrators, and employees prepare for the state\u2019s new Paid Family and Medical Leave program, set to begin in January 2026. <br>The program, created under the Healthy Delaware Families Act and signed into law in May 2022, allows eligible Delaware workers up to 12 weeks of paid leave.<br> Employees can use the leave to manage their own serious health conditions, care for an ill family member, bond with a new child, or address the impact of a family member\u2019s military deployment. Secretary of Labor LaKresha Moultrie said the resources are designed to make the transition smoother for businesses and workers. \u201cDelaware Paid Leave is here, and we have the tools for Delaware employers, employees, and third-party administrators to ensure their questions are answered,\u201d she said. \u201cI encourage everyone to learn more about this benefit and how it supports businesses in retaining their talented employees and supports Delawareans in all times of their life.\u201d<br>The resources include guides, instructional videos, checklists, FAQs, and forms to help employers, administrators, and employees navigate the program. <br>The Division has also hosted webinars for employers and will hold a Zoom session for employees on Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 5:30 p.m. Employees can RSVP at <a href=\"https:\/\/degov.link\/paidleave\">degov.link\/paidleave<\/a>.
