Delaware State Police Detectives are investigating a shooting\u00a0that occurred in Frankford yesterday afternoon.<\/p>\n
On February 2, 2025, at approximately 1:00 p.m., troopers responded to the 28000 block of Gum Tree Road in Frankford for a report of a shooting. When troopers arrived, they learned that a 41-year-old male had been shot and taken to the Frankford Fire Company. The victim was taken to an area hospital with critical injuries.<\/p>\n
The preliminary investigation revealed that a black male suspect and the victim were engaged in an argument at a residence when the suspect shot the victim and fled the scene.<\/p>\n
Delaware State Police Troop 4 Criminal Investigations Unit continues to investigate this incident. Detectives are asking anyone with further information regarding this case is asked to contact Detective R. Mitchell by calling 302-752-3794.
