The Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Thursday afternoon in Edgemoor.<\/p>\n
On September 12, 2024, troopers were notified of an armed robbery that occurred at the intersection of Governor Printz Boulevard and South Stuyvesant Drive in Edgemoor. The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was in a vehicle that was stopped at a red traffic signal on Governor Printz Boulevard when an unknown armed suspect opened the victim\u2019s door. The suspect struck the victim in the head with a handgun, and threatened to shoot him before taking his property. The suspect then got into a small SUV that was operated by an unknown black male accomplice, who was also armed with a handgun, and they fled in an unknown direction with the victim\u2019s property.<\/p>\n
The first suspect is described as a light-skinned, possibly Hispanic, male. The second suspect is described as a black male. There is no additional description available for the vehicle. Surveillance video and images of the suspects are not available.<\/p>\n
The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Criminal Investigations Unit is still investigating this. Detectives are asking anyone with information about this case to contact Detective R.
