Update: Suspect Vehicle Located in Ongoing Fatal Hit-and-Run Investigation

The Delaware State Police have identified the suspect vehicle involved in the September 8, 2025, fatal hit-and-run pedestrian crash on South Dupont Highway in New Castle as a white Chevrolet Equinox. The vehicle was located unoccupied at a residence and has been secured as part of the ongoing investigation.

The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to lead this investigation. Detectives continue to seek witnesses, including anyone who may have dash camera or surveillance footage from the area around the time of the crash. Anyone with information is asked to contact Master Corporal R. Kunicki at (302) 365-8417. Information may also be provided by sending a private Facebook message to the Delaware State Police or contacting Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-847-3333.
