State Police Investigating Shooting in Lincoln

Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that occurred this morning in Lincoln.

On September 18, 2025, at approximately 6:21 a.m., troopers responded to a residence on the 29000 block of Fleatown Road in Lincoln for a report of a shooting. The preliminary investigation revealed that an unknown suspect entered the residence through an unsecured door and shot a 66-year-old man in the chest while he was sleeping. The victim was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries. The investigation remains active and ongoing.

The Delaware State Police Troop 4 Criminal Investigations Unit continues to actively investigate this incident. Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding this case to contact Detective R. Mitchell at 302-752-3794.
