State Police Arrest Two Men Following Shooting Incident in Milford

Delaware State Police have arrested 34-year-old David Waddington of Milford, Delaware and 71-year-old Roger Spurbeck of New Holland, Pennsylvania for reckless endangering and related charges following a shooting incident that occurred last night in Milford.

On September 23, 2025, at approximately 7:48 p.m., troopers responded to the 20000 block of Cedar Beach Road in Milford for a report of a reckless endangering. When troopers arrived, they learned that a residence, occupied by two adults, had been struck by gunfire. No one was injured. The investigation revealed that two men, identified as David Waddington and Roger Spurbeck, were shooting in the backyard of a nearby residence when their gunfire struck the occupied residence.

Waddington and Spurbeck were taken into custody without incident and taken to Troop 7 where they were charged with multiple crimes.


Waddington was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7, and released on a $76,000 unsecured bond.

Spurbeck was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7, and released on a $76,000 unsecured bond.
