Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on Willis Road Thursday night that left a 25-year-old Dover man injured. The investigation began at 8:56 p.m. when the Dover Police Department received a call for shots fired in the 100 Block of Willis Road. Officers responded and while checking the area, the victim arrived at Bayhealth Kent Campus in a privately owned vehicle. The victim had sustained a gunshot wound to his upper body. The ensuing investigation revealed that the victim was driving on Willis Road when an unknown suspect began shooting at his vehicle. After being shot, the victim drove himself to Bayhealth for treatment. Two occupied residences were also shot as a result of this incident. No additional injuries were reported.
