LAUREL, Del. — Laurel Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred Wednesday evening. Officers responded shortly before 7:30 p.m. to the Little Creek apartment complex following reports of a fight in progress. While on scene, they were directed to another location on Center Street, where a man was found with a single stab wound to his abdomen. Police provided immediate aid until EMS arrived to transport the victim for treatment. Authorities said the injuries are non-life threatening. The suspect remains at large. According to a preliminary investigation, the incident does not appear to be random, and officials say there is no perceived threat to the general public.
