The Delaware State Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred yesterday afternoon at the WSFS Bank in Wilmington.
On July 16, 2024, at approximately 2:51 p.m., troopers responded to the WSFS Bank, located at 4601 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, for a report of a robbery. The preliminary investigation revealed an unknown white male suspect entered the bank and presented a demand note to the bank teller. The victim complied and the suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. Troopers attempted to locate the suspect in the surrounding area but were unable to find him.
The suspect is described as an unknown white male wearing a black mask. Surveillance images and video are not yet available.
The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Robbery Unit continues to investigate this incident. Detectives are asking anyone with information about this case to contact Detective D. Patterson by calling (302) 365-8404. Information may also be provided by sending a private Facebook message to the Delaware State Police or contacting Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-847-3333.
