Detectives Investigating Robbery at Claymont Area McDonald’s

Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery that occurred at a Claymont area McDonald’s Tuesday afternoon.

On July 8, 2025, at approximately 4:30 p.m., troopers responded to a report of a robbery at McDonald’s, located at 2702 Philadelphia Pike in Claymont. The preliminary investigation revealed that 2 unknown males met with the victim inside the McDonald’s to purchase an item the victim had listed for sale. Before the purchase was completed, one of the suspects grabbed the bag containing the item, and a struggle ensued. During the struggle, one of the suspects grabbed his waistband, and implied pulling out a firearm. The victim let go of the bag, and the suspects fled on foot toward Philadelphia Pike with the victim’s property.

The suspects are described as unknown black males. Surveillance video and images are not yet available.

The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Robbery Unit continues to investigate this incident. Detectives are asking anyone with information about this case to contact Detective J.
