Detectives Investigating Home Invasion in Newark

The Delaware State Police are investigating a home invasion that occurred last night in Newark.

On July 28, 2025, at approximately 10:15 p.m., troopers responded to a residence on Salem Church Road in Newark, for a report of a home invasion. The preliminary investigation revealed that 2 unknown black male suspects entered the residence, and approached the victim in the family room. The suspects, both armed with firearms, demanded property from the victim, and inquired about an unknown male. The suspects then tied the victim’s hands, and ransacked his room. The suspects fled from the house with an undisclosed amount of money and property.

The victim was not injured. The suspects are described as black males, wearing dark-colored clothing, and armed with firearms. There is no surveillance footage available at this time.

The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Robbery Unit continues to investigate this incident. Detectives are asking anyone with information about this case to contact Detective J.
